More...in the New Year
As I leave 2020 behind I’ve started to think about what I want for the new year. I typically don’t make resolutions as I feel like they set people up for disappointment and failure.
I’ve determined this year to be the year of more.
More time for the things I love.
More time to take care of me.
More water.
More sleep.
More time connecting to people that matter.
More time focused without distractions, especially with my children.
The last several years have had my time stretched to a maximum but it came at a cost but also rewards that will continue to flow for years. Graduate school was a choice I had shelved while life just couldn’t make room for it. But then the reality hit that life doesn’t ever make room - we rearrange until there is room.
And this year I am pushing aside the time thieves to make more room for the things I value.
