About Me
Lisa Nasr, MBA, MS
Chief Chaos Ruler
Hi! As you’ve probably guessed, my name is Lisa.
My DNA is rooted six generations deep in Oregon! Half of the DNA came across on the Oregon Trail and the other half took a ship from Denmark in the late 1800’s. Everyone settled down near water in rural Eastern Oregon. It’s all pretty rural but you have to see it and spend time there to really appreciate it. I credit these travelers with my need to explore! I’ve spent full work days underwater watching and learning about fish behavior. I’ve also taught people how to dive and be in those environments. I’ve worked education programs in the swamps of Louisiana sharing a love of birding, alligator spotting, water moccasin avoiding, appreciating fire and the quiet of the bayou. I’ve also been bitten by an alligator and nearly strangled by a 6 foot long black pine snake. Hyperbolic you say, but I promise, it’s a story worth hearing and I hope worthy of just how amazing nature really is.
My story doesn’t end there or on the bottom of a river and it could have when I fell in carrying enough rebar to keep me there. It’s fair to say I crave adventure and sometimes a good challenge feeds the adrenaline beast that lies within just enough that my map can stay put for a week or so. I also have responsibility to get through parenthood alive for my 11 year old and 6 year old. The adventures haven’t stopped but are maybe a little less dangerous. The jury is still out on whether I might die under a pile of skis while organizing the garage.
But until the day you find me under a pile of skis…let’s make the most of the time we have!
