Summer Crazies

As a stay-at-home mom I keep rocking the momming gig all S-U-M-M-E-R long! SOLO to boot!!! With July coming to a a close the reality is we have just a few more weekends before school starts in September. There have been far too many late nights, lazy mornings and lots of treats. There have been new friends and lots of new drama in the alley way with the changing dynamics. I call it the "summer crazies" because we don't experience this much insanity during the school year, except maybe near the holidays when there is too much going on and the kids are under rested.

How do you handle the summer crazies?

I need blog topics and solutions to the insanity. And while bourbon and sparkling anything are nice, it's really not a solution, it's more just straight up gluttonous enjoyment.

Here's a recipe for everyone:

Unless you really want to make simple syrup, I find that muddling the mint with a little powdered sugar works for me. And instead of plain sparkling water, I use coconut La Croix because it's always well stocked in our fridge and the coconut doesn't really seem to interfere with the flavor because bourbon does a great job of showcasing it's awesomeness! Cut a straw to just an inch or two above the top of your glass (clearly we love jelly jars but I've added silver cups to my Christmas list).
